Chef. Anna Choi
Founder & Culinary Director, Koreanna Kitchen
About the Chef
Born and raised in South Korea, Chef Anna Choi first pursued her passion for aesthetics by majoring in Visual Design at university. Her artistic sense of balance and composition later led her to Canada, where she studied Visual Merchandising Art — a path that unexpectedly opened her heart to a new creative language: culinary arts.
What began as curiosity soon became a lifelong calling. Anna trained and worked in some of Canada’s top French, Italian, and modern Japanese restaurants, refining her technique and developing her unique culinary voice.
Her journey took a pivotal turn in Denmark, where she completed a chef internship at Restaurant Noma, one of the most influential kitchens in the world.
That experience shaped her into a professional chef who values innovation, precision, and storytelling through food.
Upon returning to Toronto, she continued her fine dining career while sharing her expertise as a Culinary Instructor at Centennial College, where she has been teaching in the Culinary Management Program since 2017.
For the past five years, Anna has also served as the Private Chef to the CEO of Cargojet, Canada’s leading cargo airline, where she has curated tasting menus, fine dining experiences, and VIP business events that blend refinement, creativity, and warmth.
Koreanna Kitchen – Company Introduction
Koreanna Kitchen operates with two distinct yet complementary lines of business.
First, our catering line delivers refined, high-end culinary experiences tailored to each client’s occasion — from intimate gatherings to corporate events. Every menu is thoughtfully designed to meet the client’s needs and dietary preferences, providing wholesome, beautifully balanced dishes made from fresh, high-quality ingredients.
Second, our manufacturing line produces premium sauces, dressings, and ready-to-eat or frozen foods, which are distributed to selected retail stores across the GTA. Each product is crafted with the same dedication to quality and authenticity that defines our catering, allowing customers to bring the Koreanna experience into their homes.
